Art of Gratitude - Rocks & Journals Oprah Style

Thursday, July 30, 2009

Gratitude is a major element in the secret. To bring goodness and joy into your life you need to be grateful. Regularly reminding yourself of all the positive things that you already possess can help create the proper mindset for abundance. Two common tools that help are the gratitude rock and journal. A Gratitude Rock is simply a rock. You can find a rock outside or order one online. Every time you touch your Gratitude Rock, it anchors a thought of Gratitude. Reminding you to take a moment to appreciate. Each thought of gratitude is a magnet. Gratitude Rock serves as an energy spark to the universe. If you want a more polished rock the online store MyGratitudeRocks.com has a really nice selection of branded rocks. My favorite is their Dream Rocks. It's what dreams are made of. We have all heard it, but what does it mean? Well it's different for everyone and this rock reminds us to follow our own dreams and take the steps necessary to make them a reality. It costs about $7. Where the rocks come from really doesn't matter. As long as you use it as a tool to stay in thanks. Each time your hand comes in contact with the rock give thanks for something you have in your life. After a while it will become second nature.

Gratitude Journals is another handy tool to help stay in a constant state of gratefulness. A Gratitude Journal provides a more intense experience of gratitude. Writing down all of the positive things in your life and reading them daily helps maintain a perspective of abundance. Individuals that keep journals like this often find more and more things to add to their list. Taking note of all the good things help to manifest the other goals you desire. Like the rock tool journals can be made or purchased. Oprah even recommends keeping a Gratitude Journal. Grab a notebook and a pen and start jotting down a list of things you're grateful for. A great method is writing in your journal in the morning or every night before bed. Sometimes you don't even have to add to it just simply read through the list. It's an instant pick-me up. Your list can be as random or detailed as you want. Below is a few things in my Gratitude Journal.

Things I'm Thankful For:

1. My wonderful job
2. All of my incredible friends & family
3. Being an American and all of my opportunities present daily
4. My Health
5. The color Pink
6. Cheesecake
7. Blogging
8. Reality TV

What are you grateful for?
